What You’ll Do
The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for maintaining materials, supplies, and tools stored in Coastal Electric Cooperative’s warehouse. This position supports both in-house crews and contractors by ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of materials.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Receive and inspect incoming materials from suppliers.
• Assist in-house crews and contractors in compiling materials for work orders.
• Relocate and stage materials from storage areas to designated pickup locations.
• Participate in material inventory counts and assist in generating weekly ordering lists for the purchasing agent.
• Operate a forklift, pallet lift, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse facility.
• Ensure outgoing packages are prepared and picked up by the designated shipping company.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.

What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience
• High school diploma or state equivalency certificate required.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, safety documentation, and other work-related materials.
• One (1) to two (2) years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current forklift certification required.
• Valid Georgia driver’s license with a clean driving record; must be maintained throughout employment.
• Ability to lift and move up to fifty (50) pounds.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
