What You’ll Do

The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for maintaining materials, supplies, and tools stored in Coastal Electric Cooperative’s warehouse. This position supports both in-house crews and contractors by ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of materials.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Receive and inspect incoming materials from suppliers.
Assist in-house crews and contractors in compiling materials for work orders.
Relocate and stage materials from storage areas to designated pickup locations.
Participate in material inventory counts and assist in generating weekly ordering lists for the purchasing agent.
Operate a forklift, pallet lift, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse facility.
Ensure outgoing packages are prepared and picked up by the designated shipping company.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.

What We’re Looking For

Education & Experience
High school diploma or state equivalency certificate required.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, safety documentation, and other work-related materials.
One (1) to two (2) years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Current forklift certification required.
Valid Georgia driver’s license with a clean driving record; must be maintained throughout employment.
Ability to lift and move up to fifty (50) pounds.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
